Kia ora! Welcome to the Local Publishers Forum (LPF) website

If you are involved in New Zealand book publishing, or would like to be, then join us – membership to LPF is free. Register to receive email notices of events, subscribe to the RSS feed to receive content updates or come back regularly to see what is new in the LPF world.

If you are a freelancer in the publishing industry, or would like to find a freelance editor/designer/proofreader/typesetter/indexer/publicist etc., then please visit our Freelancer Directory where, for a small annual fee, freelancers can log in and advertise their specialities and skills, and those in the book industry can search to find a suitable freelancer.

We regularly hold social events and industry-related debates and/or training. Any person involved in books in New Zealand is welcome to attend LPF sessions – publishers, editors, assistant editors, production managers, production assistants, designers, publicists, sales teams, typesetters, proofreaders, indexers and others. Freelancers, self-employed people and newcomers to the publishing industry are welcome as well as staff of larger companies.
